Elmington Farm Offers $15,000 Prize Money for 2008 Shows
Beautiful and historic Elmington Farm, located in Berryville, has added a little incentive to its 2008 show series. Total prize money for the 2008 year is in excess of $15,000.00! Now that's quite an incentive! What makes this show series even more fun is that all riders who participate in the three classes of a division are automatically entered in a random drawing for a $25 gift certificate from local merchants. Additionally, Elmington offers Jackpot Paybacks in three of its divisions with no additional entry fees. So even if you don't get the blue ribbon, you have a chance to earn a little green. Hefty year-end cash prizes are being offered to trainers with the most student participants throughout the series and for the most successful trainers, i.e., those with the highest points based on their students' placings. Adults and child participants will similarly be competing for year-end cash prizes for points earned for every class entered and for placings. Elmington Farm is able to offer such prize money thanks to generous sponsorship from a large number of Virginia-, Maryland-, and West Virginia-based businesses. As if that's not enough, look for Elmington's new sand ring and high performance-style turf course in the spring. It seems that Elmington's plan benefits both the participants and the businesses while stimulating the Virginia horse industry. Great idea, and good luck! For more information, go to: www.elmington.com or contact Kathie Hamlin at (540) 955-6219 or info@elmington.com.
