Damingo, a crossbred gelding, earned the title of Highest Scoring Registered Virginia–bred Pony at the Virginia Pony Breeders Association Annual Horse Show held in Warrenton Virginia on April 19. Owned by Carol Eicher, Damingo was bred by Jennifer Thomas of Mineral Virginia. The aged Bay and White Tobiano pony, by Medicine Man x SCF Fancy Me by Fan Tastik, scored a remarkable 29 points in the VPBA Performance Division and received a dress cooler and  the Joan C. Barland Memorial Perpetual Trophy donated by Margaret Bzdak in honor of her mother.

Damingo topped the Virginia Bred Performance Division by winning both over fences classes and pinning second in the Under Saddle and Model classes. Reserve Champion was Glenhaven Work of Art by *Downland Rembrandt x Even Money by Penrhyn Sporting Chance, owned by Emma Pell and bred by Richard Taylor .

Papillion, by Land’s End Monarch x Indeego Girl by Indeego, was awarded the Pony Breeding Champion title and received a dress cooler. Owned by Steward Kohler of Fredericksburg Virginia, the lovely chestnut yearling colt was handled by his breeder Richard Taylor of Montpelier Station. Reserve Champion was Arcane, a bay yearling colt also owned by Stewart Kohler and handled by his breeder Richard Taylor.
