The Potomac Valley Dressage Association (PVDA) hosts the annual Ride for Life on June 21–22,2014, during their USEF licensed/USDF recognized show at the PG Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Md.
Over the past 10 years, the Ride for Life show and benefit has raised more than $700,000 for the fight against breast cancer, with a substantial portion of the monies collected benefitting the Johns Hopkins Breast Center. The goal of the fundraising is to help ensure breast cancer patients not only survive but also have an excellent quality of life after treatment is completed. Riders can contribute to the Ride for Life breast cancer benefit by obtaining pledge donations from individuals and businesses; blank forms are posted on the Ride for Life website (www.pvdarideforlife.org) and the PVDA web page (www.pvda.org).
