Foxhound puppies will be the honored guests at an April 26 event hosted by the Old Dominion Hounds. Photos by Betsy Burke Parker

The Old Dominion Hounds will host a foxhound puppy show and open house Saturday, April 26 at the club kennels in Orlean. Competition begins at 3 p.m., with Best in Show at 5.

An international panel of judges will score unentered hounds from recognized packs in the Northern Virginia and Virginia regions of the Masters of Foxhounds Association. There will also be a junior handler class for entered hounds, and a “farm dog” class for visitors.

 

Other activities include kids’ games, a petting zoo, a puppy name auction, hound, horn and horse demonstrations by staff members, a horn blowing contest and more.

There will be a barbeque dinner and a burger grill. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids under 12.
