Charlottesville Southern States Cooperative and Blue Ridge Equine Clinic are pleased to announce the FREE fall Equine Educational Seminar. This October 9th, a Thursday, we will cover Lyme’s Disease; Symptoms and Treatment, Current Feeding Trends, as well as the Role of Biosecurity to Limit Contagious Diseases.
Dr. Sage, from Blue Ridge Equine Clinic, will show how knowing what to look for when considering a tick borne disease can greatly impact the recovery time of your animal. Dr. Bruce Bowman, a Virginia State Veterinarian, will explain how ALL of us can help play a part in controlling equine disease spread. Ruth Hopke, from Southern States Cooperative, will speak about new feeding trends, feed supplements and what will be appropriate for certain types of horses. There will be time for questions after each speaker.
The dinner meeting will be held at the Elks Lodge in Charlottesville, VA. Doors open at 5:30pm and the dinner starts around 6:30pm.
