VA State Fair announces Schedule of Equine Events – Sept. 25 – Oct. 4, 2015

From Sept. 25 through Oct. 4, fairgoers can enjoy an exciting array of equines from all over Virginia.
Draft horses will be pulling; miniature horses will be prancing; ranch horses will be pushing cattle. There will be drill teams and rodeo thrills. A Showcase of Breeds will educate and entertain. The fair’s annual Salute to Secretariat will pay homage to the legendary Triple Crown champion who was born at what’s now The Meadow Event Park.

Full Circle Equine Service offering Horseman’s Day on Sept. 26, 2015

Horseman’s day will be held September 26th from 10-4 at Full Circle Equine Service, Amissville Va. Topics offered are shock wave, Tui Na, wound treatment, chiropractic and acupuncture demonstrations, advanced topics with the farrier, and presentations on equine search and rescue, as well as body balance and fitness for the rider by Rock’N’Horse Fitness.  To sign up go to or call their office at 540-937-1754.

2015 Clinton Anderson Clinic Schedule with Sept. Clinic in Frankfort, KY

Renowned horseman Clinton Anderson is instructing three levels of horsemanship clinics this year at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in Stephenville, Texas, and he is also taking his Fundamentals Clinics on the road for the first time since 2009. The Extreme Mustang Makeover, presented by the Mustang Heritage Foundation and the Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Program, will be featured at the Virginia Horse Festival held at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, VA, March 27-28.
