William Coleman III (Gordonsville,Va.) and Emily Beshear (Somerset, Va.), originally scheduled to ride Rolex 2013, have withdrawn.

Coleman did not bring his horse, Twizzel, to Rolex, according to staff in the media center. A reason why is not available.

Emily Beshear (left) withdrew Here’s to You after she noticed he seemed a little off during a workout on the flat Wednesday.  An interview with the rider will be published later in this series.

There Are Horses Everywhere

Just off the jet way I knew I’d entered the land of the horse. Louisville’s airport is filled with everything equine, from elegant art to silly nightwear.

On the flight from Washington to Detroit, I read […]

Courtney was not wearing a helmet at the time, but often did, especially when riding a young horse. As the horse she rode that day was always so well behaved and she was a […]

From Where I Sit

Welcome to our new blog – From Where I Sit. We’ll be presenting views on our relationships and experiences with horses and how they’ve shaped our lives.
To give you a bit of background about me, I’ve been around horses for about 44 years. My first real horse experience was hanging out with a neighbor’s retired New York City Police horse. Gambit was an amazingly patient teacher (as was his owner). I spent hours grooming him, […]
