Instructor, trainer, judge, and professional rider Carol Hawley was the first equestrian inducted into the UMW athletic hall of fame on Jan. 24, 2015. On April 4, 2015 the SouthEastern Association of Trail Riders will be hosting a Benefit Poker Run Trail Ride at 37093 Warrique Road at Tidewater Horse Trail in Ivor, VA. It will be held for a fellow equestrian who was hurt in a horse related accident. The proceeds will go towards her medical bills. Donation for ride will be $25 which includes lunch if pre-registered.
