Woodpecker Farm’s IEA team wins at Zone Finals and will travel to Nationals!

We caught up with Woodpecker Farm’s IEA team coach, Beth Linton just days after her high school team won at the IEA Zone 3 finals on March 28 and 29, 2015. Beth, also the trainer at Woodpecker Farm in Woodford, Va., shared some of the highlights of the exciting weekend with us.

UMW Inducts First Equestrian to Athletic Hall of Fame

Instructor, trainer, judge, and professional rider Carol Hawley was the first equestrian inducted into the UMW athletic hall of fame on Jan. 24, 2015. Called “one of the most influential figures in the riding program’s history at Mary Washington,” Hawley coached the UMW equestrian team from 1984–1998, leading the team to numerous national competitions and awards.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Benefit Ride

On March 20-22, 2015 there will be a fundraiser/ benefit ride for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at Raccoon Creek Sports, LLC 19260 Raccoon Creek Drive, Capron VA 23829.
