Located in beautiful Warrenton, Virginia, Ashland Farm pre-dates the Civil War. The property includes two barns, an indoor ring, as well as easy access to miles of beautiful trails.
The newly renovated horseshoe shaped main barn features 10 12’x14’ matted stalls, tack room, feed room, office and an indoor wash rack. The second barn has seven additional stalls and an outdoor covered wash rack. Ashland Equestrian has a 75′ x 190′ indoor ring with top of the line recycled rubber footing, as well as a sprinkler system in the ceiling.

Management and Training by Amanda Takacs
Amanda Takacs is the head instructor and barn manager with over 26 years of riding and horsemanship experience. She grew up riding and showing in New Jersey where she was an active member of her local Pony Club and 4-H. Amanda graduated from Virginia Intermont College in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Studies and a minor in Business Administration. She was an active member of the nationally recognized IHSA team for all 4 years and in 2008, she became a certified riding instructor through the ARIA. Before coming to Ashland, she trained warmbloods in Madison, VA, was the barn manager at Goucher College in Towson, MD, and was the head instructor at Loftmar Stables in Bowie, MD. Additionally, Amanda has coached in the NCSSEL, ISHS and NCAEL, and the 2015-2016 NCAEL Champion team. She actively rides and shows hunters and jumpers and was accepted into the 2016 Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover. With all of her training and experience, she believes the basis for all good riding is mastering the basics and having good horsemanship.
